Native Washingtonian, Gospel Artist Ron J. Brown is a former DC Go- Go band bass guitar player, R&B- soloist, songwriter, producer and performer. Ron J. Brown’s musical style is mixed with; soul, Go-Go, R & B, and contemporary flavor with deep and thought provoking lyrical content. Ron J. Brown has a new CD release “I Speak Faith- The Believer’s Language”, which contains twelve (12) of his original songs. Ron will be launching a promotional campaign in June 2009, to promote his new CD. This campaign will include: flyer distribution, local Christian bookstore consignments, promotional packages, press releases, blog and webpage postings, and selling the CD online with vendors such as: CDbaby, Snocap and Amazon.com.

Brown has been developing his talents as a gospel artist, songwriter and producer with the hopes of getting pertinent exposure within the gospel music industry to connect with gospel industry professionals such as: Publicist, A&R Reps at Record Labels, Media Contacts, Booking Agents and Management. Ron has strong compassion for being used by the Spirit of God to spread the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ for Salvation, deliverance and healing!
In February 2009, Ron J. Brown was officially commissioned to the office of Worship Leader of Cornerstone Faith Healing Christian Ministries, a small community Christian church in Fredericksburg, VA. Ron J. Brown ministers and leads the praise and worship team at the church weekly and has been leading the church into a new level of praise and worship that provokes deliverance & healing in the lives of the congregation. As a gospel artist, Ron J. Brown is anointed, energetic, intimate, uplifting, soul stirring and penetrating and he has a sound that reflects happiness, thanks, adoration, energetic praise and an atmosphere of worship to the Lord which leads the his listeners into the realm of praise and right into the very presence of God, ushering in a move of the Lord.
It was clear at an early age that Ron J. Brown was destined to become an vocalist and entertainer. Ever since the age of eight Ron's vocal and musical gifts began to be developed in his elementary school band and glee club. At the age of 13, Ron began playing bass guitar for “The Silvertone Gospel Singers” of Kensington, Maryland where his grandfather sung as was a tenor. As the bass guitar player for the group Ron gained experience performing in various churches along the east coast. Around the age of 17 Ron was one of the former bass guitar players for a few of Washington, D.C.’s well known Go-Go Bands: Class Band of S.E. and Prophecy Band of Fort Washington, MD. Brown was seen weekly playing for the Band’s at various venues such as: WUST off of Georgia Avenue, “The Black Hole” “Celebrity Hall”, Cherry’s Skating Rink in S.E. Wash. D.C., Our Lady of Perpetual Health” on Morris Road in S.E., “The Room” on New York Avenue and Evan’s Grill. Back then Ron was known by the stage name “Master Ron” and was known throughout the Washington Metropolitan Area for his skills on the bass guitar. Later, Ron J. Brown attended Georgetown's "Levin School of Music" which is located in Washington, DC. where he took courses in vocal training. Years down the line after struggles with band separations and breakups, with skills not only as a bassist but also as a background vocalist and songwriter Ron decided to branch out and become an R & B soloist and performer. Under management with a small DC based manager Ron wrote, sung and performed his original ballads that afforded him performed at many local venues such as: Takoma Station Club in Takoma Park, MD, The Executive Lounge” downtown in Washington, DC, Club Kilimanjaro in Uptown NW, Arts Theatre in Laurel, MD. At the age of 19 Ron returned to church and became music minister for Ambassador Temple of Largo, MD. In 1995, while performing at a talent showcase at Howard University’s Blackburn Center, Ron sang one of his first original compositions "God Is Coming Back Soon" where he had the entire place on their feet in standing ovation. After a stunning performance and being one of the winners of the “Road to Stardom” talent showcase. Ron J. Brown was sent to be a contestant at the famous Apollo Theater. So in 1996, Ron stood before a packed house at “The Apollo Theater” in Brooklyn, New York.
After a short bout with incarceration Ron J. Brown received salvation, Ron attended Nehemiah Discipleship Ministry in Rock Church in VA Beach. While there became a: praise, worship, and youth leader in a youth music ministry out of Rock Church called “One Tribe”. In 1998 Ron J. Brown was privileged to minister in song along with youth music ministry “One Tribe”, before some 5,000 attendees as they opened for Gospel Hall of Fame Artist- Fred Hammond and Radical for Christ. As a songwriter, arranger, and producer, Ron J. Brown earned opportunities in working with various artists in: musical, dramatic, live performance and studio projects. Ron states, “I am in awe at being given the opportunity to give God glory and to be used to not only touch lives but to also be used by the Holy Spirit of the Lord to transform lives that are hurting and to encourage those who feel that there is no way out of the issues of life that we all face every day. - Ron J. Ron J. Brown is currently in production to record a CD that is solely geared toward healing which will be aptly named "The Healing CD", and has a projected release date scheduled for the Fall of 2009.
