Album Notes

Ron's musical roots extend well beyond the years of his life. This young talent of Puerto-Rican and Philippine descent first caught the music bug from his parents. As Ron reflects, "Mom was a singer who toured Vietnam during the war to entertain the troops...she had a full on rock band with dancers complete with go-go boots and all...Dad was studying Theater at the University of Puerto Rico when he left for New York then was called to go to Vietnam...in a fairy tale way their paths crossed and the rest is history." At a very young age his parents enrolled him in violin classes then bought him a guitar for Christmas. As he learned to play the guitar he began to write and compose songs of his own. Throughout high school he sang in chorus, played guitar in jazz band, and performed in musicals and dramas.

Enrolling into college, Ron received a music scholarship and studied voice along with jazz and classical guitar. After college he moved to Nashville to take a touring position as a guitarist and background singer. He quickly established himself as a guitarist for the next three years touring with several national acts, but soon learned he was going down a road he did not want to travel. Losing enjoyment of just playing guitar, he made a decision to quit playing for other artists, got a day job, and concentrated on writing and recording his own material.

As the debut artist of FuManSkeeto Productions, Ron was added to the 2nd Stage of *NSYNC's 1999 "Ain't No Stopping Us Now" World Tour. After a few shows into the tour, he was moved to the main stage due to his increasing popularity and captivating stage show playing to crowds ranging from 10,000 to 50,000 a night. He was asked to join *NSYNC once again on their 2000 "No Strings Attached" World Tour. He's played at many renowned venues including Madison Square Garden, The Superdome in New Orleans, The Rose Bowl, Adelphia Coliseum in Nashville, The Silverdome, The Alamodome, and The Pyramid in Memphis. He has shared the stage with numerous artist including *NSYNC, Sisqo, Pink, Jordan Knight, Mandy Moore, Shanice, Billy Crawford, Raven Symone, & McMaster & James. Since his introduction a buzz has been generating giving way to appearances on MTV, and many magazines including Rolling Stone, Billboard, and Teen People. Along with his success of touring Ron secured his first endorsement with Dean Markley Strings. The company has great expectations in this talented new artist as he continues to make waves in the music industry, waves that have been creating such a buzz that his website gets upwards of 10,000 hits a day.

"It's such a dream come true to finally be playing my own music...I don't want to put this talent, this opportunity to waste...I want to give people a sense of hope, connect with them, and give them a sense of happiness through my music." Transcending his creativity through artistry, Ron's thought provoking lyrics compliment the unique blend of his pop-rock sound. His smooth velvet-like vocals flow through each song for a very honest and straightforward sound making this remarkable new talent one to look out for.
