ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
On 'Soul Reason', The Ron Spencer Band draws inspiration from the originators of classic blues based styles. A set of all original songs celebrating the past, but blazing a trail to the future of the blues. From the Memphis groove of 'Soul Reason', to the Excello swamp blues of, 'You Ain't Gone', to the uptown B.B. King style shuffle of 'Workin' On Her Sins', the Jump Blues of, 'Lookin' For A Woman' and the rockabilly rave-up of, 'Ain't Got Nothin'; the styles and production are pure 'old school' with insightful lyrics and new twists.
