Album Notes

Singer, songwriter Ron Whistler and musician, producer David Mitchell who have a commercial recording studio in Tyler,Tx.recently became partners in an independent label
Para-Bros.Records which is dedicated to producing orignal
Nashville and Bakersfield type music similar to the way it
was originally produced.
This album was recorded at Mitchell Bros.recording studio
in Tyler,Tx.(more info on the studio can be found at www. Para-Bros.com)The album was produced by David Mitchell for Ron Whistler. Ron wrote all the songs on the album and
David Mitchell played all the instruments, recorded it,mixed and mastered it. David's very talented friends Lynn Groom
doubled on piano on 3 cuts and Larry Lamb doubled on electric guitar on one song with Keisha Raker and Brent Maris doing background vocals on 3 songs.

A NOTE FROM DAVID MITCHELL for TOM PERRYMAN:
I would especially like to thank you (Tom Perryman,KKUS Radio,Tyler,Tx.,former partner and promoter of country legend Jim Reeves)for letting our music fill the air waves as you did with Jim's.That means so much to us coming from a legend in radio as you are.I can still hear you and Jim on KGRI as if it were yesterday.I was only a kid but my memory serves me well. You're also one of the nicest guys I've ever met. You're probably as busy as ever, and I really don't see how you do it all. Thanks for you're help!
David
A NOTE FROM DAVID TO ANYONE INTERESTED:
I produce and play most all types of mainstream music but this project with Ron was a real fun thing.
He came over one day and said,"I wanna sing some karaoke songs over the studio system and see what they sound like".I said okay,c'mon.I wired him up,put the disc on and continued working on another project while monitoring it.Nothing really exiciting was happening that ain't at any other karaoke party until "Welcome to my World" came on and I jumped up from the console in disbelief.I raised up to look through the window and yep!it was Ron singing. We have this big giant plate reverb unit and I ran to the back of the building and adjusted it to 4 secs. and ran back to the control room and presto there it was, that RCA sound with Jim Reeves type vocals.I hit record on the Dat and recorded a piece of it,then hit the talkback and said come in here and listen a minute.I played it back and we both couldn't believe our ears.Right then and there it renewed our passion for traditional country music.I started thinking how nice it would be for Ron to write some songs in that classic style and wrap that luscious Nashville Sound around it.This album is the result. This music doesn't sell in mainstream anymore and we know that. But,if enough of you people like it and would email us and tell us you do,we sure would take the time to make more of it.That's what I grew up playing, along with the Beatles,Stones, etc. We've done something radically different from the norm, bordering on insanity and waiting to see the results. Maybe our next album will feature 3 kazoo's with 97 tamborine's playin' in harmony to the Motown sound, just kidding, but I do like Motown too.

Thank all of you for taking the time to listen.
