The delivery on this disc is much like a live performance of Roosevelt Dean, intimate and sincere. The cover songs range from the classic R&B of The Staple Singers to a bluesy saga of Denise LaSalle to the eclectic blend of blues, soul and country of Ray

One night I was sitting in the Dinasour Barbecue having a drink, after getting off a plane in Syracuse, on my way home to Binghamton. I was kind of feeling lonely (alot of stress building up in my life). A Tall black Man walked in and sat down next to me at the bar, unknown to me who he was. I'm 6'4 350lbs so its not often to see a tall man like that.
So this man (Roosevelt Dean, he said I can call him Rosie) started talking to me, when I noticed the staff was treating him like some kind of royalty. From the moment he sat down and we started talking I realized he had a charisma about him that one would only pray the rest of the world
would catch. A friendly, caring man.
Well he told me he was musician and song writer and been playing for many years. I was overwhelmed with the people he played with and met over the years. Besides buying me a drink and offering me one of his CD's, he gave me his number and took down my e-mail address so we can keep in touch. After a pleasent evening with this gentleman I drove home with an excited smile, happy to know that there are special, down to earth, caring people that still surround our lives, whether for a minute, a day or a lifetime.
I have a good friend that lives in Fulton,NY and I was telling him about this cool guy I met at the Dinasour. When I told him his name, he said "oh man, that dude is great he is an awesome guitarist and musician" . So I told him "I KNOW, I was listening to his CD all the way home from Syracuse last night and he is incredible.
Since then, which has been about 2 1/2 years ago, I have seen him raise money for many benefits and do whatever he can to bless people with his music and his self.
It is people like Rosie, that when you see who they are and the Gifts they were blessed with, you have to know in your heart that there certainly is a GOD.
