AWESOME! It is! From beginning to end. He's so much better than those softer guitarists and let me say better than even Leo Kotke, with he reminds me of somewhat. As good as Brooks Williams. Santana's guitar! Loved it!!

A.J. is one of the most talented musicians I have heard in a long time. His combination of raw emotion on strings and a voice of grace produce a cd that is not only easy to listen to but moves the soul at the same time. He has a bright future and is a man who needs to be heard!!

A dynamite, energy-filled CD!
author: Bill Hammond
I've really enjoyed repeated listenings of "Resistor" -- A.J. should be very proud!
This guy is a gifted writer, a sensational singer and a helluva good guitar player.
More than anything, though, the guy has that groove thing going. Virtually every track will have you bopping and chiming in on the choruses. Infectious stuff.
Now if a member of AJ's non-target audience like me (who leans toward solo acoustic fingerstyle) can dig the hell out of this CD, I imagine that people who gravitate toward acoustic-driven rock will go totally nuts over it.
Way to go, AJ, and the sonics and production values are first-rate, too!

intellectually captivating: musical creativity and fine instrumental playing
author: rev. richard lager
being inclined to listen more to clasical than to rock, i nonetheless found myself gravitating towards the instrumental tracks on this cd. i was especially taken by resistor and transistor, tracks 6 and 8, respectively. these are exceptional music encounters.
the title track, resistor,is an intellectually captivating guitar solo wrought of tight, virtuosic, rhythmic musical exploration. its cascading chords, like a tumbling mountain stream, are beautifully blended, but never lost, in a stream of pulsating rhythmn. a bried introduction leads to a longer display of dazzling creativity.here the rigor of expert musicianship is elaborated in a kind of two movement sonata. it concludes, rather like ravel's bolero,at the perfect moment in a wink of mischieveous finality.
the next instrumental track, transistor, excites the sensual imagination. this piece is charged with restlessly intelligent, pulsating atonal harmonies, juxtaposed by quieted interludes. it begins with an unearthly muffled radio signal. barely audible, it can be easiy missed by the casual listener. i found myself thinking of this as the "coming of age" theme song for a lanky, confident alien. after i fantasized about a close encounter, the music once again returned to its quietude. alas, my alien was lured away by an erotic signal from infinite space.
