How did this album come about? Well, anybody who knows Rose, knows her love for music and jam sessions, it was at a local jam session in Lancaster, PA where Rose met a musician from Copenhagen, Denmark, who through his connections was able to get Rose a gig, singing with the Kenn Lending Blues Band in Copenhagen. Rose loves to travel anywhere, but Copenhagen was a dream come true and it was there she met Kenn Lending and a few more lifelong friends. It didn't end there, in the summer of 2006, Rose booked close to 10 gigs for Kenn Lending and Henning Verner, and for 3 weeks they played in York, Lancaster, Harrisburg and Reading, PA. and one other gig in Cape May, New Jersey. While Kenn and Henning were still in town, John McGovern of Jam Studios ran sound and recorded their last event, which of course is the much longed for and long awaited CD, "Live at Annie Bailey's" recorded live in Lancaster, PA. That night was a memorable night for all that attended and was a turning point for Rose, because little did she know that the recording came out perfectly and would be Rose's calling for those who are willing to listen.
Rose Hudson, would like to call herself, just another singer from down the block, but in all honesty, she's one of a kind. Ask her where it all comes from and she just shakes her head and gets this far-away look in her eyes, like she's still trying to understand where all her emotion and passion come from. If you every felt joy, love, disappointment and hurt all rolled up into one you would know what Rose is feeling, because she draws you into her world and gives her soul freely.
When asked what expection she would like her audiences to have while listening to her music, Rose has two words to say, "Just Feel".
