Album Notes

A new CD from the band formerly known as Faith!

The CD contains fourteen new songs ranging in style from Elliot's sparse "Waltz #3," to Gary's power pop rockers "Zero" and "Mary Jane." There's Elliot's "Love Games" which features English Beat rhythmical verses before erupting into a three-guitar tradeoff ala The Beatles on Abbey Road. Three very electric openers give way to Gary's bittersweet "Fade," highlighted by Emily Gorlin's haunting French horn.

You can definitely hear Elliott Smith, Jeff Buckley, and Badly Drawn Boy influences in what they did this time around. However, there are little electronic embellishments in some of the songs that hint at possible future directions. Radiohead, the late Love Spit Love, and Sparklehorse continue to be prime inspirers as well.
