The Rose and Thistle Band consists of three of the Pacific Northwest's most sought after Celtic musicians: Rob Barrick (highland pipes, Scottish smallpipes, bass, percussion), Elizabeth Nicholson (Celtic harp, vocals, guitar), and Eddie Parente (violin and viola). With over 75 years and 1000 weddings worth of cumulative experience, the trio's performances exhibit the highest level of professionalism and expertise. The ensemble's diverse repertoire ranges from spirited Celtic dance music, to ethereal Irish and Scottish ballads, to classical wedding favorites such as Pachelbel's Canon and Wagner's Bridal March.
This CD is the band's first release in a trio format, and is is a follow-up to Rob and Elizabeth's highly popular duo CD, "Celtic Wedding Music." The band has also recently recorded a third album in it's "Celtic Wedding Music" series, that consists of favorite Scottish and Irish love songs. Additionally, the Rose and Thistle Band offers customized CDs for weddings and other events; please see barbarrickmusic.com for further details.

Beautiful
author: Laura Anderson
I think the music in this CD is beautiful. It fits very well with my celtic themed wedding, and is perfect for my civil ceremony. Plus I am saving a lot of money by just using a CD and not having to pay someone extra for playing "live". I am really pleased with the CD and thing the version of Canon in D is the best I've ever heard, a beautiful arrangement.

Beautiful Wedding Music
author: Katherine Corner
The beautiful combination of harp and violin and pipes made this CD perfect for my wedding in the Northeast of England. Pachelbel's Canon in D is a gorgeous rendition, I used it when my bridesmaid were entering the ceremony. We played the entire CD during the wedding reception meal. Many comments from my guests asking about the wonderful music.
