The Rosewood Guild is a Renaissance and Classical Guitar Ensemble resulting from the combined talents of The Queen City Guitar Ensemble and The Mecklenburg Society of Classical Guitar Performing Ensemble. The original purpose of the group, formed in 1995, was to participate, annually, at The Carolina Renaissance Festival. The result is a guitar quintet with more than a century of combined experience as students of the Classical Guitar who enjoy performing in a variety of settings.
The repertoire varies from early 16th century music of many countries to easy-listening, contemporary music arrangements. Styles range from folk to classical, dance to religious, ballads to ditties. Most of the music is arranged for two or more guitars by or for guitars and recorder or pennywhistle. Some of our selections also have vocal accompaniment.

Lovely music, beautifully played.
author: Karen Valen
This is a beautiful cd, with haunting melodies. The instrumentalists are so talented and the vocal arrangements are quite stirring. A lovely musical experience.
