10 beautifully recorded and arranged songs on this follow-up to the critically acclaimed debut album By The Blue...
Rosie's wonderful vocals ("a truly amazing voice that resonates Billie Holiday and Rickie Lee Jones, yet still manages to sound distinctive..."), floating on gorgeous and intricate acoustic and electric guitars, a big double bass sound, lovely soprano and alto saxophone, splendid drumming on a minimal kit, and some lush Rhodes, Hammond and grand piano.
All enveloped in delicate, textured, cinematic arrangements (featuring strings, vibraphone, oboe, trombones), lavishly produced by Bernd Rest, and mixed and mastered to the highest standard.

Sophisticated but earthy. Repeat plays are a certainty!
author: Jay Dunner
This continues the folk-jazz hybrid that Brown perfected on her By the Blue debut. Reminiscent of Rickie Lee Jones, but without the drawl. Brown's writing is sophisticated, but earthy. The arrangements are varied, never monotonous, and complement the lyrics perfectly. This disc makes repeated plays a certainty!
