Album Notes
Ross Cooper’s music is often identified as groovy, acoustic, folk music with a hint of blues and rock. However, the young artist is as diverse as he is talented. He considers himself to be very musically open-minded and enjoys playing almost any genre. Ross got his start in Lubbock, TX over eight years ago, where he has been playing guitar, writing his own music, and performing with local country and rock bands ever since. From an early age, it was evident that the artist had an ear for music and his ability to play with different bands allowed him to learn quickly. By the time Ross had graduated high school, he had started several of his own bands and had garnered great interest within the West Texas music community. Ross considers himself primarily a songwriter, yet also finds performing extremely satisfying. Previous band members say that Ross has an extremely optimistic outlook on life and music. As a songwriter, Ross says, "I don't wait for inspiration to strike; we are surrounded with enough inspiration to write a million songs, so I try to take advantage of it." A strong point is that his songwriting doesn’t fall into any particular genre and appeals to a broad audience. After listening to his music, one can see that Ross is an extremely gifted artist who truly loves to write music.
