Michael Ross, renowned guitarist and vocalist has composed and produced his third solo album on MIHI Records entitled "Bright Moments Ahead". This contemporary Jazz CD displays a smooth , sensuous and exciting touch of artistry. This is one Bright Moment you must hear.

A native of Chicago, Illinois, Michael was encouraged to take private guitar lesson at the Chicago School of Music.

While advancing his studies in music, Michael has played some of Chicago's local jazz clubs. His first big break occurred as a staff guitarist for the Broadway National Touring Company's production of " The Wiz" which toured across the country.

Michael Ross returned to Chicago and became staff guitarist with the Schubert Theatre. There he showcased his talent for such Broadway shows as "Dream Girls" "They're Playing Our Song" " Evita" and again "The Wiz".

Michael has recently made a television appearance on the hit TV show "Chicago's Steppin At Club Seven" hosted by the legendary Herb Kent.

The 1997-98 Luster Products "Black Heritage Performance" featured Michael Ross as the opening act for Chaka Khan and Patti LaBelle.

Michael's debut album " We Finally Meet" received excellent air play on some of the prominent adult contemporary radio stations. His first CD "We Finally Meet" can also be heard in parts of Japan.

Michael Ross's CD "The Last Love Letter", touches you the way a real musician can. Sound and emotion are the keys to this musical project. Michael always treat you with a vocal number or two, and yes he sings as well.

We Finally Meet, The Love Letter
author: Sondra L. Mitchell-Williams (Twinkle)
Wewll I finally got the other 2 CD's from you and was able to listen to them in their entirety....You can tell which CD was the first, but the music was totally off the Hook....from the ones Mr. Ross wrote to the different renditions from other artists. I never realized he had such a commanding voice, the way he sang the last song on Bright Moments Ahead--Theres' a Small Hotel....it almost like he was singing to me.....Ha!Ha! I never knew he had a voice and then the reprise on the Love letter CD the spoken word...I knew then that I found my 'long lost' chicagoacquaintance.....after all this time.....

Well from what I am hearing (it was only a few snipettes) this is a wonderful album. I am abit upset (SMILE!) that he did NOT contact me himself, since we have such history...I AM very anxious to buy the debut album " We Finally Meet"...it might bring back memories of San Diego and the WIZ. I DO emphatically endorse both albums because I know the artist professionally as well as personally......I am so-o-o-o pleased that he is still performing.....San DIego is NOT really a jazzy town as CHicago, not sure when I will be getting there...so this is my next best venue to hear and learn about these 'new' artists.

it the kind of music that is like something grand in a box when you open the box for the first time you know it more than what the silk paper said to you from the wrappings.

I truly loved this cd. So much so that I bought two. I let a good friend hear mine, she was equally impressed. I will be listening for more from Michael.
