Rosy Fusion combines the talents of four powerhouse Southern California players—and their collaboration transcends the sum of its parts. Members have performed with David Benoit, The Jazz Crusaders, Chaka Khan, Von Freeman, Melissa Etheridge, Burt Bacharach, Reel Big Fish, Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Roots, Jessica Simpson, Keiko Matsui, Katharine McPhee, Chris Sly, and Brian Setzer, to name a few. They also have numerous film and TV credits.
Rosy Fusion’s debut is thick with the pop-sensible, guitar-driven jazz fusion that distinguishes the quartet. Sublime melodies and inventive soundscapes from Jeff Askew and Corey Witt float over solid yet intriguing grooves laid down by David Hughes and Rosy Rosenquist. The end result is a beginning—the start of a musical odyssey to map the distance between soul and mind.
