At first glance this CD looks like a standard release. But, once you open it up, there are many things to become immersed in. The package includes a CD AND a DVD! The CD includes some of the best songs Kevin has ever written,and plays almost like a film. Each song leads into the next with an uncanny feeling that they are all connected in some way. Highlights include "Love Is" and "Just Like Lauren Bacall (Margo)". Kevins Dulcimer playing is flawless,and his Piano playing is seamless. One cool feature on this CD is the inclusion of Kevin's Guitarcimer,an instrument that is half Guitar and half Dulcimer. It was designed specially for Kevin, and his playing on it is beautiful. The DVD that is included contains Interviews with Kevin, and his good friend and mentor, Noel Paul Stookey (of "Peter, Paul & Mary" fame). They both explain aspects of this wonderful package in great detail. But then, the bonus!!! The complete album of songs along with artwork by Kevin that goes with each song, along with the lyrics, are included on the DVD. It was great to "Watch" these songs unfold to the colorful pieces of art created by Kevin. This CD/DVD is something that should be in every music collection.
