Album Notes

In the summer of 2009, Sparks Entertainment held a contest in which singer-songwriters, bands and rappers could submit a song for inclusion in both the film and soundtrack for "Rotkäppchen: The Blood of Red Riding Hood". The music had to accompany the score by composer Matthew Stanley in defining character, the settings and mood of the film. In the end, a total of fifteen winners were chosen, and when their music was incorporated into the film, the result was pure magic. What you will hear on this soundtrack is an unprecedented compilation of rock, alternative, pop, folk, R & B, and rap from some of the hottest indie musical artists today. So sit back, relax, and crank up the music!
