Album Notes

Simon Golding's Rough Ramblers

Finding like-minded musicians appeared difficult until he met Martin "Magic" Johnson, a brilliant technician on the drums and experienced solid bass supremo Andy Tolman. From then on Golding's compositions progressed into the recording of "Dolls House" which is named after the house he recorded it in.

Many of the tracks have been featured on The Fuse Box jazzfm's internet radio station ejazz.fm "General Purpose" was played out on Martin Charman's night show on jazzfm and recently Mike Chadwick has picked up the album and played "Dolls House" on his cutting edge show. The trio have been taking their music out into the world, playing live gigs and will be touring later on in the year to support the albums release.

I didn´t know these guys but i´m glad i found them and hope to hear a lot more from them in the near future. It´s one of the best fusion cd´s i´ve heard in recent years. It´s all there, a few bass solo´s, drum solo and great guitar playing with lots of effects and above all compositions that keep the attention. It´s a must have for Holdsworth & Krantz lovers.
