Sweet and lovely with rough edges
author: Carl M. Nielsen

Here's a cd you can't live without. Good-time washboard music with wonderfull female vocals, in a mix of jazz, blues, ragtime and country and a mood of nostalgia in a contemporary way. A modern aproach to the good old days of real music. Fresh and juicy, swingin and driving, intense and alive. Full of sweetness, lovely melodies and pleasent sounds, but also with a roughness and a no-mercy-right-in -the-face-sound. Not too nice, but nice enough to please. Not that vague, collorless stuff, but the kind of music that is really enjoyable. When i bought this album it went straight to become one of my favorites. It's simply the thing, the kind of stuff alwas search for, but seldom find.
