Drawing from their wide influences, ROUNDHOUSE presents a celebration of all things BLUES. Drawing from New Orleans funk and blues, Chicago blues, 1940's swing, and even country blues, ROUNDHOUSE provides a collection of tunes guaranteed to make you want to tap those feet and shake that tail feather.
From the New Orleans rhythms of "Close That Window" to the big band swing of "High Class Man", ROUNDHOUSE will make you want to move.
About The Band:
Roundhouse combines the Memphis blues with New Orleans Zydeco and a little bit of the Chicago sound to create an evening of jump blues and swing. They are a Mardi Gras party every time they play. The band's original material draws on the influences like the Neville Brothers and Room Full of Blues, producing grooves that just make you want to move.
Nominated for the Seacoast Spotlight Award in the Blues and R&B category in 2004, Roundhouse is becoming one of the more popular dance bands in the Seacoast Maine and New Hampshire area. The band attracts a wide variety of people, including swing dance enthusiasts.
The band is comprised of seasoned musicians, who combine experience and polish with the grit required to really make their music jump. Members of Roundhouse have shared the stage with Emmy Lou Harris, The Eagles, Jonathan Edwards, Tom Rush, Mountain, Shenandoah, James Montgomery, Frogman Henry, George Winston, Bill Haley's Comets, The Del Fuegos, and most recently Luther "Guitar Jr." Johnson.
