Surf music from the beach....I mean the grave!
author: R.Davey
This instrumental surf cd is extremely cool. However, it's not the upbeat, sappy, let's go to the beach surf. No, this is let's go visit the Munster's surf. Lot's of gloomy tunes, but all instrumental. Maybe this is a new genre of music called surf-blues. I have never really read much on this band, and this type of ghoul music generally doesn't appeal to me. However,if you like surf music, or instrumentals in general, I think you'll like this cd. For me, I'm now waiting for the next release. I'd suggest you buy this cd before the band sends someone over to your house to perform experiments on your brain!

Down with death, up with the Route 66 Killers
author: James C. Taylor
I know there is a link between things horror / monstrous, and the minor key surf sound, but don't let the name and death packaging fool you: these are some positively good tunes. If you like that sonorous guitar, do what I did: get the album and hide the package, because the Route 66 Killers will slay you, so to speak.

Ghoul Surfing
author: Mike V (Hidden Sanctuary)
For those with a fondness for surf music in the style of the Munster's Theme, look no further. This delightful CD is able to deliver just enough of a macabre feeling without being too far over the edge. This CD has been uploaded to the iPod and hasn't stopped rotating in it since it was received.

Surf that doesn't suck.
author: Johnny Lockjaw
I normally don't have an ear for flat-out surf (a lot of it bores the hell outta me) but this cd really kept me interested. Really dark stuff, not the same old cheesy riffs that you've heard a thousand times. It's refreshing when somebody can breathe some life into what seemed like a festering corpse of a genre and make it demoniacally enjoyable. Good listening for plotting revenge; highly recommended.
