Album Notes

"I love quaint things, odd things, quirky, irreverent and nutty things. I crave albums that tweak my imagination and inspire imaginary travels to faraway lands- this album does all that and more. It's a collage of so many heterogeneous textures and sounds that it's impossible to hold it in your head all at once.. but grab pieces of sassy French vocals, early jazz, quirk pop, folk, delta blues, country and hell, even a nod to hip hop.. and you'll have something of an idea of the expanse of this incredible album. It's like one of those movies you just have to see and can't possible describe.. like Amelie perhaps? Or Princess Mononoke? Either way, it's a must hear.. at least once."

The title of this album is 'Loin, loin, loin...' meaning 'Far, far, far...' in english. Far is an experience we all know, it mixes different feelings, like adventure and melancoly... Far is where you can get spontaneous or get lost... Far is also where i hope this album will go. I'm not talking numbers here, i just mean far away, and meet people i will never meet. Have fun.

These songs are in french and italian, they talk about birds who don't know how to fly, about kinky love and cooking, old cars that jazz, and ethyl dreams... but if you only speak english, this will be only music to your ears. Cool, i love to listen when i don't understand...

This album features a lot of musicians: Long time partners and friends, people i work with, people i play hockey with, people i heard playing and asked for some of their talent; they all came and played, simply, and it was good. You got to love music and musicians for that: generosity. Thanks.
