Roxanne is a singer/songwriter with her own unique style. She appeals to a wide audience. Listening to her sing is a wonderful treat to an alluring velvety voice, especially with her song, "I Cannot Think". She has a way with words - making them extremely modern, real life and conversational. Roxanne participated in a national September 11 memorial project with her version of a song entitled "Colors". For more information on this project, please visit http://pro5.com/colors. Roxanne was also a finalist in the 2003 Unisong International Song Contest with her song, "You're Good Enough." She performs locally in Omaha, Nebraska. Born and raised in Nebraska, Roxanne always knew what she wanted to do. She wrote her first song at the age of 9 and started to play the guitar at the age of 12. Her musical style varies anywhere from folk to pop to soft rock to whatever else her creativity puts out there including a bit of new country crossover. Here are Roxanne's thoughts on being a singer/songwriter: "Music is the reflection of us, but it is also an avenue for exploring ideas of change." Here are some of her favorite singer/songwriters: Sara McLachlan, Stephen Bishop, Jewel, Billy Joel, Bonnie Raitt, James Taylor, Alanis Morissisette, and Karen Carpenter.
