Album Notes

Royal Downfall was formed in Umeå, Sweden, in September 2002. The band has its roots in Umeå's well known hardcore scene, but their music is more influenced by bands like Fugazi, Les Savy Fav, Sparta and The Weakerthans etc. Exactly one year after the band was formed their debut album, "8-16", was released by the Swedish indie label Planekonomi (Peter Bjorn and John, Mattias Alkberg BD etc.). Since December 2003 you can also download the entire album for free from the band's official web site! The latest Royal Downfall album, "These Means Have No End", was released by their own label, Luftslott, on December 3, 2007. The lineup consists of Fredrik Lindkvist, Robert Tenevall, Johan Philipsson and Janne Olofsson. Members of Royal Downfall can also be seen in hardcore/punk rock bands like Totalt Jävla Mörker and Knugen Faller.
