ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Roy Muniz (me) writes songs from the depths of his soul which tends to come off as serious subjects matters, AKA Art. This songwriter and self taught musician writes his songs, produces the recordings in his home based studio. A free spirit of music, his genre is simply Singer_Songwriter. So when listening to Roy Muniz, keep in mind that the words of his music will only finds the serious listener. Sometimes as songwriters, when you've lived a life of pain and hardships, the rejection and nonsupport trouble a soul and cause searching. Missing what his heart is saying sometimes defeats the purpose. Serious, maybe. True to heart, most definitely. He wrote a song for his GrandDaughter called "Makayla Rose" and was told by another Artist they thought the song bearly cut the mustard. What? He didn't get it. A true songwriter isn't living in a world most people live in, It's a world of dreams, hope, lost dreams, lost hope while always searching, refusing to stop writing, can't stop, it's for that peace in that next song hopfully that you the listener will look at as art specking to you at that moment and beyond. Your support is greatly appreciated, your friendship valued and your light and love brings me inspiration.

a song writers song writer
i'll make this short and to the point...
i'm discouraged to the point of anger when song writers like roy muniz get ignored, because from the many songs of his i've heard, i'm convinced he writes songs for the right reasons, because he truely, sincerely feels them, lives them;
and because of that method, has now a growing catalogue of solid individual material that meets my stringent criteria for being declared
an authentic song writer.

Take Me Away
This is Jimmy and I wanted to say that I love all of Roy Muniz music I have ever heard which is a lot. I now will have a CD to travel in the car with. I have become friends with Roy on other websites and I consider him one of the most talented, under the radar, singer/songwriters I have ever encountered. Someday I will head that old wagon of mine out to beautiful Montana and jam a couple of songs with my friend Roy.

Most Sincerely, James Stanley Howen

Roy Expresses himself in very personal ways
Hey Roy, this is Bob Pidgeon from Butte. I decided to give you a little support, even though I don't know you real well, just that one meeting through "Richard Lane" was enough for me to support you in purchasing one of your CD's. Ok now for the review. I love Roy’s music he told me that he writes his song from real experiences in his life. I met this man through another friend mentioned above, and he is overall a great musician. I am the type of person that takes the rules and throws them all out the window just like Roy does, if he didn't he wouldn’t have his CD up here. I am also a singer and I know what it's like trying to get people to really listen to your songs, Believe me, Roy’s is truly one of the great songwriters of our time. Even if he where to only get as far as "CD Baby" and various other websites on the internet that is still a very big success, I.E. because he has a talent that is un-touched in his own style of music, yes he does sound a lot like Neil young, but man that is a gift of gifts from the lord, and he is truly using his gift to the fullest potential that a lot of people don’t. Some people have a gift for music and they don't even use it, then when they realize it, it is gone in the blink of an eye that is because they fail to realize the true value of their gift, and that my friend's Roy does, he realizes the true value of his gift and he uses it. As far as I am concerned I put him up where Neil young is, because he has that special something that he puts into all his songs, and he writes them with his whole heart, mind, and soul. I wish you the best of luck my friend and I hope that you have many successes in your career as a singer songwriter. Give me a call sometime; I would like to talk to you.

Respectfully yours in Christ;

Robert, A. Pidgeon

Straight from the heart
"Take Me Away" is an absolutely wonderful collection of lyrics and music reflecting memories and dreams of life and love and the promise and pains of both. Roy pulls words and feelings from beneath shadows buried deep inside his soul, delivering them to the listener with poignant emotion and feelings of compassion and hope. It is just as hard not to imagine the wanderlust of tumbleweeds whispering and rolling across western plains as it is impossible not to feel the contagious spirit and peace that lives within the heart of this greatly talented Montana songwriter and troubadour as he weaves his way across a musical tapestry of memories and dreams from song to song on this great CD. Do yourself a favor - add "Take Me Away" to your music library and treat yourself to this wonderful collection of sixteen of Roy’s stories of love and life and the special way that he tells them. You’ll thank yourself many times over that you did.
