Album Notes

Alize Rozsnyai is a sixteen-year old sophisticated Coloratura soprano from San Diego, California, has been singing since the age of two, 14 years later at the age of 16 she has a wide repertoire of classical music. She began studying classical voice with Anna Bjarnson Carson at the age of 13 and I guess you could say, “has been eating up arias ever since.” Alize fervently desires a career as an Opera Singer and works diligently towards her goal. Perhaps the fire of operatic aspirations was lit when she performed as young Lise in the award winning play, The Magic Fire, directed by Jack O’Brien in 1999 at the Old Globe Theatre. She has performed in many shows and plays, both before and since, Most recently Mabel in Pirates of Penzance, at Cal State San Marcos.
She has won many singing competitions in California. In the winter of 2005 she performed as the soprano soloist for Handel’s Messiah. As a member of the Rancho Bernardo HS Madrigals was the soloist for Pie Jesu, in the Faure Requiem.
Her mother Alyze Dreiling is a professional violinist and her late father, Zoltan Rozsnyai was a conductor and founder of the Philharmonia Hungarica, so the classical environment is a natural fit. Pedigrees for mankind are often lightly considered but if there is merit, it is apparent here.
Other accomplishments of note are being chosen as Miss Rancho Bernardo Teen 2006, and a short time later competed and was selected to represent San Diego in America Junior Miss State Final competition in Napa Valley in August of this Year.
