"So when you hear the cry, 'The grungies are coming! The grungies are coming!', you can rest assured that CD's like this are taking the country by storm. The three minute revolution is here. It couldn't have come at a better time." --Spaz, Pop-Sided

"Ooooh, how long has it been sice I heard this many great unknown bands on one disc? The general spectrum here places folk-rooted power pop at one end and plain ol' big-chord power pop at the other. 25 songs by 25 bands from all over North America, with a heavy compliment of Baltimore bands--because RPM is based there and because the bands kick ass--all with at least one thing in common: they submitted songs that were three minutes or less... RPM USA's 3 Minute Revolution has been described accurately as "a
lip-smacking smorgasbord of juicy, tender Power Pop" featuring "25
bands. 25 songs. No fat. No fluff. Just Power Pop in its essential form."
The CD is a fine entertaining collection of sub-3-minute pop-n-roll! The 3
Minute Revolution is proof that there is plenty of great music that can't
be heard on MTV or mainstream radio. Among the line-up: The
Montgomery Clifts, The Rockinghams, Dark Side, Vinyl Devotion, Ward
Morgan, Planet 10, The Meanwhiles, and The Shambles (with the zestful
"Delve Into Everything"). Lots of energy, lots of emotion, not one bad
track on the whole disc! This is what rock-n-roll was meant to be ...
somewhere, Buddy Holly is tapping his foot and smiling.
