The sparse notes listed for this album do not do justice to the power and substance contained on Mr. Silverman's newest recording, Light on Water. As you listen to the tracks, emotions are triggered that range from utter despair to unbridled joy and celebration. The theme of Summer passes through several of the compositions...deep reflection in Contemplation and Blue Lights...and the joyful abandon in Mardi Gras Blues, the only non-original song on this recording. I urge anyone who loves good, inspirational jazz to listen to and purchase this amazing compilation of solo piano pieces by an amazing creative talent. This is a must have for your CD collection! -David Bobo Lavorgna
