notes

The music is an evolution from the vintage rock era that is based more on proficient skill and band chemistry than in genre type. There's no bullshit on this album. It shadows the realness of life with underlying optimism and rides on the strength of solid musicianship. Live performances are never the same although they follow the same core structure. This is what keeps the band so tight, constantly playing with their potential, and interjects the freshness that makes music the 'living' thing it is.

  • Stripped down RnR stands out

Strong driving sound from this unpretentious three-piece harkens back to the days when they simply let the tape roll. Classic guitar-driven blues-rock with just enough hooks to keep it fresh. Nice stuff.

  • Excellent

Very refreshing to find a new band go back to the roots of rock - definitely an early Stones sound however I hear a lot of Small Faces as well (Ronnie Woods would be proud...).

  • I'm turning all my friends onto Ride the Blinds

This is the most promising new artist I've heard in years. These guys are real musicians playing with classic rock n roll and blues licks. I've got all my friends and my boss listening to this CD. It's awesome.

If THE WHO and THE ROLLING STONES had a baby and ERIC CLAPTON raised it.

  • Grateful Dead and Zeppelin fans rejoice
    author: Jon Heiner

A perfect blend of talent and taste. The classic trio of guitar+bass+drums with a vintage feel and obvious strong influences from the Grateful Dead, Zeppelin and Cream, with some smatterings of Phish, Tower of Power, Stones and Dylan. I heard these guys live and they are even better live than on the CD, but if you've wished you were around in the late 60's when those standards from the legends came out, then you can pick this up now and say "I was there." I honestly don't think these guys realize how incredibly talented they are...

  • Rocks. Seriously.
    author: Trevor Stricker

Imagine Bon Scott, up in rocker heaven, decided to play a joke on Ted Nugent. One night when Ted is drunk and in a good mood from a day of playing with his guns outdoors, Bon's ghost comes down and sodomizes him. Ted, thinking he's turned gay (not that there's anything wrong with that), believes it must be caused by Lynyrd Skynyrd. Why? Because Ted don't think so good. So Ted chases down the Skynyrd tour bus on the highway, pulls up next to it, and starts unloading buckshot. This leads to crazy mayhem on the bus. Some old groupie who has been around from the 70s, long enough to have a throat crusted with the dried semen from guys in both Creedence Clearwater Revival and War, jumps up from between the drummer's legs. Just then Ted shoots out a tire, sending the bus careening, and making the groupie fall forwards onto the drummer. That drummer spews his load somewhere on her stomach. One chance in a million, the groupie gets impregnated with an evil mix of DNA from Skynyrd, CCR, and war. When the kid grows up he learned to play guitar and recorded this album. This is all true.

  • I like this...

Kinda cought me off guard. Some serious rock n roll. The Rolling Stones meet The Who meet Buddy Guy. Rock and roll, with some good old blues. I highly recommened it.

  • Reminds me of music of the 70's
    author: Joan

I love this cd. It's like The Who, Led Leplin, and a splash of Cream. These guys make you want to start investing in bands, and not singles, like they did back in the day. A great album. All the way through. I can't what to see them live.

  • A must have!
    author: Mike

I have been listening to this album for 9 days striaght. From the first song to the last. Pure rock n' roll. I can't stop listening to it.

  • Fun, kick back CD

This CD has a 70's rock feel that makes you want to kick back and relax while listening. The mix of lyrics, guitar, and drums are amazing and these guys really sound great together. I recommend this CD for everyone on a Sunday afternoon.
