This CD inspires

This CD, from start to finish, is one refreshing display of natural and steady talent. The songs are open, musical, and beautiful. Diane, Tom, Andy and Martha are so natural a fit, these 4 musicians jive and support each other. As a result, each song is as beautiful as the next. I especially cherish Diane's vocals, she offers a honey drenched Laura Nyro sound on the tracks she leads. My favorite, "pocketful of change",is in direct contrast to Martha's husky earthy leads on tracks like "angel", and Tom's familiar bell like voice on others...making the CD all the more interesting and complete. Add in Andy Huenerberg, a musicians' musician, who really anchors the arrangements with his skillful playing, and the aural idea is complete. I don't pretend to know the Dream they were trying to return to...but by the end of this album, I pretty much knew the dream they had landed me in. Return to the Dream is a fleetwood- mac- technicolor picture carefully muted to perfection, with a peter--paul-and -mary-palate of folk pastels. I must say, I love it, and highly recommend the experience of owning this CD.

I do this kind of stuff for a living and I'm just so jealous!!! This CD is a pleasure - acoustic folk, tight harmonies, really good writing. Hey, I be in the band??

Haunting. A few of the cuts will adamantly refuse to go out of your head -- which is actually a good thing for a change.

Return to the Dream's first album is cozy, clever, tightly harmonized, and bubbling with musicality. It delivers track after track of solid acoustic material like tasty scoops of ice cream in a variety of flavors, including folk, pop, bluegrass, rock and more.
