Album Notes

Acoustic and Electric Bassist / Audio Producer Rubim de Toledo specializes in Jazz, Electronic and and World music (specifically Brazilian and Cuban). Rubim, Canadian-born of Brazilian decent, is a modern player who also values the rich traditions and roots of all music he performs.

He is a founding member of the Latin/Jazz group Bomba! (3 cds released) and founder and leader of the Improv collective reClaim (2 cds released).

Rubim released his first studio recording as a leader on May 20th of 2006. This recording features: Bob Tildesley - (Trumpet/Kaoss Pad) Doug Organ - (Keys / Vibes / Electronics) Cameron Sound - (Laptop / Turntables / Guitar) Rubim de Toledo - (Bass) Bill George - (Drums)

Called 'In Charcoal and Crimson', This disc features music from a live dance show in which Rubim de Toledo was commissioned to compose all the music for by Decidedly Jazz Danceworks in Calgary, AB.
