Ruby Boots is an up and coming folk band, rich in harmonies that can only be found in family groups. Comprised of three sisters - Dawn, Andrea and Heather - this tightly harmonized trio delivers an edgy blend of folk, country and gospel.
Their newly release CD, "Somebody Take Me Away", was immediately embraced by fans of folk & country music. Minnesota Public Radio's "Morning Show" plays it extensively, and also invited the group to sing at a live radio show at the Como Lake Pavilion in St. Paul. The 600-plus audience received Ruby Boots with open arms, and the radio audience showed its support as well. Dale Connelly of KSJN said "Dawn, Andrea and Heather sing beautifully, with sincerity and taste. They were a hit with the crowd our live broadcasts. I loved working with Ruby Boots."
Dawn is the songwriter fo the group. Six of the songs on the CD were penned by her. She writes about real life - love, loss, relationships, & faith. Her Minnesota roots definitely play a part in the themes of her songs. The cover tunes on the CD were written by the sister's favorite writers.
No strangers to performing, these women have spent many years singing together along with their parents in the popular Mid-Western Gospel Band "The Schimpps". Individually, their voices can be heard singing back-ups on various albums and commercials around the Twin Cities area.
If you like rich vocals, good poetry and great picking, you'll want to add this CD to your collection!

NEXT AMERICAN IDOL!!!!!!!!
author: Gail Baetz
It was fabulous, if you want to listen to some fantistic music that you will drift away too and won't be able to get these songs out of your mind, you must buy this CD. Everyone who has heard it said these artists should move forward within this career, the public is missing out on some beautiful voices and lyrics. Loved it, loved it, loved it!!!! Thank you to the next Celene Dion!
