At 18 years of age Rudi won the 1990 National Championship at Weiser, Idaho. He was six times the Oregon State Fiddle Champion, and First Runner up in the Grand Master Fiddler contest in Nashville, TN. Rudi has won many other championship titles and awards for his outstanding fiddling style. He has taught numerous music workshops throughout the U.S. (including Alaska) and in New Zealand; has judged the national and many regional fiddle contests, and is a fiddle instructor in the annual Booher Family Music Camp (www.boohermusiccamp.com) in Sisters, Oregon.
Rudi now lives near Yoncalla, Oregon, with his wife, Carla, and their five children.
