ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
The Troubadour, The Guitar Slinger & The Mountain Songbird
Big Harmonies * Fun Times * Hot Pickin' * Songs To Remember

Runaway Home is an Acoustic-Americana band, based out of Nashville, TN.

Mark Elliott is the Troubadour of the group. A protégé of the legendary Tom Paxton and a Kerrville New Folk Winner, Mark has logged countless miles and stages around the globe. He also is an accomplished songwriter, with many publishing contracts and cuts to his credit.

Gary Culley is the Guitar Slinger of the group. He is a graduate of the Berklee School of Music, a Kerrville New Folk Winner and a well published songwriter. As the nickname suggests, he’s been known to light up a fret board or two.

Lisa McCarter is the Mountain Songbird of the group. This Smokey Mountain native was one third of the hit Warner Bros. group, The McCarter Sisters, with multiple top ten singles, appearances on the Grand Ol’ Opry and Hee-Haw— there’s no mistaking this sweet-voiced beauty.

Maybe the best way to describe this group is to say, remember 70’s radio and all those warm sounding, soul stirring vinyl records of yours? That sound is back!

I absolutely love the harmony!
The new CD is awesome! Been listening in my car and at my desk at work. I absolutely love the harmony! Can't get enough of it. You guys are awesome! Thanks for the great contribution to the music world! Excellent! Awesome creation!

She said she loves the one about "whiskey"! who knew?!
So, my 86 year old Mom has your new CD... she plays it constantly and takes it with her in her car when she goes on errands... I may have to buy her a second one! I asked her what her favorite song was from the CD- she said she loves the one about "whiskey"! who knew?!

It is FANTASTIC!
My grandson and I were listening to Sheila this afternoon, when she began an interview with this amazing group. Their music is great--if you get an opportunity to hear them, don't miss it. We were fortunate enough to meet these fantastic people and even managed to hear their entire CD. It is FANTASTIC! Thanks for the music, Runaway Home. Come to visit us again in Hickman County!

Gotta get these songs on the radio
Since last weekend's party, I've said Bye Bye to Baby Jane continuously! Today, apparently I'm countin' down exit signs; 201 is mine!!! Gotta get these songs on the radio so others can share my problems.

it blows my mind
You guys are so good, it blows my mind. If I wasn't so busy all the time, I'd be a runaway home groupie!

Extremely Promising
RUNAWAY HOME/Bye Bye Baby Jane
Writer: Mark Elliott; Producer: Runaway Home; Publisher: Mark Elliott Songs, BMI; Cub Creek Records (www.runawayhomemusic.com)

—Remember The McCarters? Lisa, one of the trio’s twin sisters, is now a vocalist in this delightful, folkie, acoustic-based, harmony-happy ensemble. The other two Runaway Home members — Mark Elliott and Gary Culley — provide the group with a clutch of hearty, well-penned songs, including this highly tuneful lead-off track of its debut CD. Extremely promising.
