rundio has been writing and performing music most of his life, and has performed and recorded with countless bands. 'Carved in Stone' is his first solo album, performed primarily on the 'Chapman Stick (a ten string tapping instrument.) The Stick is a full range instrument, from bass notes lower than an orchestral bass up to to the highest notes of a guitar. Sometimes projecting a crisp attack similar to an acoustic guitar, at others producing washes of orchestral-like feedback, and at others sounding like a conventional electric guitar and bass combined in one instrument, the Stick gives rundio a vast canvas on which to create. The Stick can also control synthesizers and other electronic sound sources, opening up an even wider range of possibilities.
