Running With Scissors is a progressive rock band which we started in Blacksburg/ Radford during college. Some of our primary influences are The Mars Volta, Led Zeppelin, Tool, and countless others. We are all from the southwest corner of Virginia (abingdon area) During the last 3 years we have performed well over 150 shows. Over that time, we have played in front of crowds as big as 1000 and as small as 2, we have played some huge shows (w/ Story of the Year, Lake Trout, 2 Skinnee J's, The Piestasters, Dog Fashion Disco, Sponge) and played some small ones with some really good bands. We now reside just outside of Washington DC and are performing across Virginia, Maryland, and Tennessee (and anywhere eles we can get to) At the present we are performing mostly weekends and refining some new material for a new EP we hope to have finished by X-mas 2005.
