Album Notes

Dave Runyan was born and still lives in Northern Michigan. He owns a recording studio where many of the areas finest acts choose to record. Dave has been a musician for over 30 years playing keyboards, guitars and bass in many different projects. He is currently writing and playing bass in the band Abandinus. His solo work is mostly instrumental “mood” music with a New Age type of vibe. The addition of strong percussion and rhythm to these types of compositions has set his music apart from the most common forms of this genre of music.

Continuum is Dave Runyan’s first solo CD that has been published. It is a collection of nine songs that were composed and performed completely by Dave. Each track began with a simple rhythm loop created in his favorite recording software (sonar 8). This served as the foundation in which he then laid lush pads and orchestral layers over. Guitars and lead synth parts were added to give life to the story of each song.
