Called the "next big hit" by iRadio's Indie Airplay DJ Jakob Neilsen, Rush Hour Soul's self-titled EP features two number 1 singles. Indie Airplay selected both "A Talent For Loving" and "Done Lost My Mind" as chart-toppers.
Welcome to the crossroads of R&B and Rock & Roll. Rush Hour Soul (RHS) is a multi-ethnic trio from North Hollywood, CA. They play Rock & Roll that is deeply rooted in R&B. Their group influences range from Prince to the Rolling Stones. What comes through is a unique sound and a blazing live act that is a mixture of rock & roll revue and dance party. Their songs are filled with hooks and grooves to get everyone moving on the dance floor.
Rush Hour Soul's latest release is a self-titled, self-produced EP. It features 2 songs that have topped the charts on iRadio's Indie Airplay (http://www.suite108.com): "A Talent For Loving" & "Done Lost My Mind." As a result, RHS was invited to do an in-studio interview and acoustic performance for iRadio's The Monday Show with Sara Routh. These podcasts are available on iTunes.
RHS is led by charismatic singer & bass player Norm Kelsey. Kelsey's energy on stage is contagious and he has visual flare to burn as he sings, shouts and dances. Lead guitarist Bryan Farrar brings the rock element home, powering through riffs and memorable solos. Doug Gordon provides the rhythmic backbone and brings a cool presence to the stage. They played together for 2 years prior to unleashing Rush Hour Soul. Being a multi-ethnic act, they appeal to a broad audience. Their sound has club audiences around Los Angeles bobbing and weaving from the opening notes.

I Done Lost My Mind!

Hook laden tunes, clever lyrics, smooth grooves & out of this world guitar solos. Everything you could hope for in an EP or LP for that matter!
If you asked me to pick one song that I had to listen to forever on a deserted island, I'd pick..."Everyone's Ingenue". A close second is "Done Lost My Mind".
The EP that leaves you wanting more RUSH HOUR SOUL!

Can I Give It 6 Stars?!?

T-A-L-E-N-T. Simple as that. What great song-writing! What great performances! Since I got my copy, I've worn out the grooves - an antiquated reference, I know. I love this whole EP, but I'd be lying if I said I didn't have a fave about which to rave: "Down by Love" merits special mention as the first melody in a couple of years to hook me like a junkie coming back for more. My car CD changer almost asks permission before moving from CD 1 Track 4. If you're in a rush, slow down for an hour and get your soul right here!

This CD is worth the price for song #3 alone. Down By Love is the new Let's Get It On (Marvin Gaye). The lyrics for each song are gorgeous and memorable. You won't stop movin' & groovin' when you hear this CD. Rock/Soul/R&B all rolled into one. GET THIS CD! You will thank me later, I know it.
