These seven tracks consist of Mark Rushton and Jon Harnish\'s last recording session at Jon\'s Weather Excuse Studio in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, before Jon\'s house and studio were destroyed by record flooding of the Cedar River in June of 2008. Two tracks have rhythmic backing. A number of them feature the Buddha Machine playing throughout. Mark is on Xiosynth and Ableton Live. Jon is on bass guitar and effects box. The session was later edited by Mark Rushton at The Bunker in Iowa City. Mark\'s music and free podcasts can be found at markrushton.com.
Jon Harnish grew up in Cedar Rapids and played with Craig Erickson in the mid 1980s before moving to California. While in Los Angeles he played with many artists, including Keith Levene (ex-Public Image Limited), D.H. Peligro (ex-Dead Kennedys), and Astrid Young (Neil Young\'s sister). After spending a couple years working for Ringo Starr in Beverly Hills, Harnish moved back to Iowa in 1998. His first album with ambient/electronica musician Mark Rushton was released in early 2008 and is available on CDBaby, iTunes, Amazon, and many other internet retailers and subscription services.
Mark Rushton creates music and sounds with his laptop, synths, and field recordings. His albums include 2004\'s The Driver\'s Companion, 2005\'s Hum And Drift, 2007\'s Regeneration X, and 2008\'s Mark Rushton and Jon Harnish. An early podcaster, Rushton\'s music has fans world-wide, and he\'s sold albums in such places as Japan, Australia, throughout Europe, as well as the United States.
