Russell D is comprised of Russell Forsyth and Darren Ivey.Russell is a singer songwriter and Darren is the drummer/percussionist as well as co-writer of "NEVER"
A Prayer for You chronicles the events of the last two years as the two men experience a spiritual rebirth.While Russell restores an historic house in central Austin,both experience a healing through music.
This music is written and played on the mandocello (regarded as the instrument of the angels)with a host of Austin musicians such as Herb Belofsky(drummer-Dale Watson/Omar and the Howlers) Danny Roy Young(rubboard-Cornell Herd/Ponte Bone) and Mark Wilson(Burning Spear and many others) It is also Russell's first release after more than 25 years of writing and singing.
