This Album was inspired by The Anne Frank House.I wrote a song for them,The Diary Of Anne Frank. They just loved it and put it into the Special Archives at The Anne Frank House,Amsterdam Holland. The song is on this album.
This Damn 18 Wheeler Won't Fit Down This Street,
Brings out the humor in a situation. This problem is one that all truck drivers run into.Old small city streets from times past where a delivery must be made. The driver in this song stretches the truth from verse to verse, see if you can catch him at it
Tribute To Chuck Yeager is available at the Fly in at Oshkosh Wisconsin. They have a copy on file for pilots and visitors. It sings of his time in WW2,then later as a test pilot and jet fighter pilot. The first pilot to fly faster than the speed of sound.Retired US Air Force Brigadier General,Charles(Chuck)Yeager was born in 1923 and is still flying.
Bullhead city is in Arizona. It's on the Colorado River in the south west corner,Across from Laughlin Nevada. They keep a copy of this song in the bus company dispatch office.
The Drivers play it for people.I thought the song showed how odd they all are but they seem to like it.
The Memories and Roses song is about my wife and how I was an insensitive person, untill it was to late.
Virginia's Music Road was inspired by my Fiddle Player who was born and raised in Hiltons Virginia. He talked about the Carter Fold,Johnny Cash used to play there with June Carter. The Carter Family Runs it,It's open every weekend. They do accoustic Bluegrass, and Old Time Music.
You will want to go there.
Yesterdays Resturant is a real place in Chloride Arizona. Almost a ghost town. It's an old mineing town where people carry guns and the whole place is like going back in time.
This song is a humerous account of a visit I made with my friend David Lee
Legend of Pancho Barns is about The real Person, who had a Ranch,Bar,hotel, and resturant on the edge of Edwards Air force Base California. She was A friend of Chuck Yeager back when they had started to break the Sound Barrier 1947.She was there when they tested all the first Jet Aircraft. She was quite a Character Ya Gotta Hear This One
Tribute To Johnny Cash is a song I had to write after his death. The sound is a little like his.He was always on top of my list.I of course liked George Jones,Hank Williams and all the Classic Country artist
Walking with the Lord was written by someone who had lost there way and got scared,Hmmm wonder who it was that did that.
You will love being in on the fun as you listen to this new Cd Thanks Russ

Dusty old helmet, rusty old gun,
They sit in the corner and wait -
Two souvenirs of the Second World War
That have withstood the time, and the hate.
Mute witness to a time of much trouble.
Where kill or be killed was the law -
Were these implements used with high honor?
What was the glory they saw?
Many times I've wanted to ask them -
And now that we're here all alone,
Relics all three of a long ago war -
Where has freedom gone?
Freedom flies in your heart like an eagle.
Let it soar with the winds high above
Among the spirits of soldiers now sleeping,
Guard it with care and with love.
I salute my old friends in the corner,
I agree with all they have said -
And if the moment of truth comes tomorrow,
I'll be free, or By God, I'll be dead!
