Rusty Groove offers movement and patina that is unmatched in the live performance music industry. They are an original modern interpretation of jazz, Latin, and high-energy funk. Rusty Groove's self-titled debut album is creating a buzz around the local club scene. The musicality of this band is caliente.
"In my 25 years in the music business, I have yet to see a live band of this caliber," says E from For The Record Studios in Orange, California. Each member of Rusty Groove has approached their art form its most core elements - true to the texture of modern life. "As musicians, we wanted to create a unique sound that lets every instrument carry its true voice through new interpretations of classic themes," says drummer and co-founder Dana Nova.
The new release takes you through a jazz journey like no other; from instrumental smooth ballad's like "Groovezilla" to the high-energy funk of "Do it Right"; or the Latin jazz inspirations of "Cocoa Chica" and the Brazilian influenced "Midnight Samba".
"Rusty Groove creates a musical portal for the listener to connect with the band in a way that transcends the ordinary," says guitarist Stevie Lewis. Be prepared to experience the subtle emotional drive of each instrument; Rusty Groove is an abundance of sounds that will satisfy every emotion. Relax and have a glass of wine or get up, get out, and get on your feet. Rusty Groove knows no musical bounds. Keep an eye and ear out for these guys.
