Ruthie and the Wranglers are a Washington DC based band and play some of the country's best Americana music. With numerous Wammie award winnings and national touring, this band combines, Blues, Country, Jazz, Rockabilly, and Rock and Roll influences to create their own sound they call Rockin' American Roots music! With their 4th CD the Wranglers perform more of what Billboard magazine calls..."nothing short of brilliant" Their high energy, quirky original songs make them anything but typical country.

"Relative" facts: Ruthie is a distant cousin of the legendary Jimmie Logsdon, writer of Rockabilly hit "I Got a Rocket in my Pocket." Greg Hardin, is brother of Andrew Hardin, Tom Russell's guitarist.

Wrangler lead guitarist, Phil Mathieu, is known for his B-bending "Tele" licks. He toured with the late great Charlie Byrd and recently played guitar in the Broadway show Aida at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, DC.

"Award winning" facts: Ruthie and the Wranglers Win Big at the 2003 Wammies gathering 8 Awards total including Album of the Year, Artist of the Year, Best Country Vocalist, Best CD Design, Roots Rock Recording, Country Recording and Artist Website! Wow!

"Someday" is the band's first all original album. Logsdon and Hardin's solid songwriting and Phil Mathieu's standout instrumentals make this album more than typical Wrangler antics.

"For Cryin' Out Loud" was originally recorded on their Live CD and was so popular, it was rerecorded for "Someday."

The songs getting the most airplay are I Say Tomato, He's a Lost Ball, For Cryin' Out Loud and Someday. My favorites are Someday, I Say Tomato and Surftilicus.
