Album Notes

Led by the whiskey-soaked vocals of Kelly “Kels” Rogers and the smooth-as-silk rhymes of Kayatta “Kaepea” Patton, local rock and cover band, Rendezvous, joins forces with indie hip-hoppers, Cool Beans to effortlessly blend rock, blues, funk, reggaeton, grunge, hip, hop, soul, rap and spoken word.

Based out of Northern California and poised to take over the world, Rendezvous and Cool Beans' sound is guaranteed to get the sex drives pumping and the heads to nodding.

The band rounds itself into a rough thing of beauty with Crystal Rivas’ thumping bass lines, "Uncle" Max Perry’s sweet leading guitar licks, Lisa “La La” Petersen’ delivers the smooth and sexy vocals, Christian St. Croíx’s rasp-dusted growl and Rachel “Stix” Montano’s hard-hitting turn on the drums.

Covers include new-style versions of Van Morrison’s, “Brown Eyed Girl,” 4 Non Blonde’s “What’s Up,” The Beatles' "Come Together," The Cranberries' "Zombie," and Sublime’s lift-every-Bic anthem, “Smoke 2 Joints,” remixed with elements from Peggy Lee’s, “Fever.”

The group’s original songs, however, are unstoppable by nature. Kels leads the band into a funk-fueled rager on, “Shy,” Kaepea takes her turn burning hotter than the sun on the smoky, sexed-out, “Intoxicated” and Christian adds a blow upon a bruise in the Lenny Kravitz-inspired grunge-thumper, "Down With It."

The band’s gained quite the following in the Northern California area, having been invited to play Sacramento’s prestigious Rainbow Festival as well as various other venues, both roadhouse and sophisticate.

So come to the next gig or get a cd soon in order to experience this unforgetable sound and unstopable force that all music lovers will enjoy!
