Album Notes

What can you say, Royal Wade Kimes is this record, “A Dyin Breed.”
Royal Wade Kimes has proven with this record that he should walk the halls of greatness with the likes of Marty Robbins, Johnny Cash, Buck Owens and others. It is hard to find anyone in the 21st century who really can express and bring to life the realism of the cowboy in music and lyric.
RWK captures the west, the cowboy, and on top of that, brings it home for the rodeo cowboy in “Mile High Honey.” Some men are just cowboys, nothing more, nothing less, that is exactly what Mile High Honey says. The guy in the song is just a cowboy riding the circuit, not a champion, just a cowboy who loves the life, but willing to give it up to be a champion in the eyes of his lady. Then what happens, RW comes right back at you with an up tempo “Puttin’ On” that pokes fun at a cowboy who might be over stepping just how good, and how much he really knows. “I'll be out of this body cast sometime in the fall” is a real indicator of just where that old cowboy landed.
“Boogie Man” what a cool track, a song about a horse, and the guitar licks are to die for. Yes “A Dyin’ Breed has something for everyone, from love songs, hard times, good times, gunfighters, even a guest appearance from Royal Wade’s good buddy Garth Brooks with "Night Birds" a wonderfully structured cowboy love song, not to mention a sentimental song co-written with the late but Great Sheb Wooley, “Where have All The Cowboys Gone" a song that basicaaly depicts the life of Sheb. Oh, and the surprising hidden track, “In MY Land.” This song should give everyone something to think about.

If Royal Wade Kimes had been around when radio played his brand of music, when radio played music because it was good, “A Dyin’ Breed” would no doubt be one of the greatest albums of all time. Royal Wade Kimes would have been a household name and the world would have been blessed. Instead it will be the chosen few who discover him that will be blessed. The album has just been discovered by XM Radio “America” channel 10 on your automobile radio, and that in its self says it all. Royal Wade Kimes is all cowboy, all American.
Royal Wade Kimes has delivered a record that not only is easy to listen to, but is entertaining. When listening to the songs without even realizing, your feeling the emotion, the realness, the vocal draws you in and the lyric brings meaning to the soul.
If your serious about your music, then all needs to be said here is:: No one gets short changed on any Royal Wade Kimes record and “A Dyin’ Breed” rates right up there at the top with the best of the best.

7/26/08 NEWS::: "A Dyin' Breed" considered the premire record for western style music with a country flare.

One of the greates CD'S I have ever heard , more people should be informed
author: Bill Dowdy
Every American gun owner should have this CD , to remind them just what freedoms we have in this country. Our rights are being taken away every day by some libural who thinks owning guns is the problem ,legal gun owners are the only way we stay safe , all other countries know this and do not want to wake the sleeping giant. Wade make me proud tobe and America.

I have listened to all Royal Wade Kimes CD's as advertised by CD Baby, and I can't make up my mind which one I like the best. They are all superb. I will certainly be looking out for new releases regularly. I have been a fan of Marty Robbins for many years and I thought no one could be as good as him, until now. Thank you Royal Wade Kimes.

author: Eric
Wow! Sure will order his other albums in near future. This country music really seems to be of a dyin' breed. But for now it's still here and King Kimes is here to proof it! Keep up the good work. Really awesome!
