Album Notes

Rawlyn William Richter III was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, but has lived in Texas most of his life. While in college Richter was the principle songwriter in several bands, including (but not limited to) Snake Chili, Fierce Pig, & The Jelly Boobs, playing mostly in the Dallas / Fort Worth area. After graduating with Bachelor's degrees in History and English from Tarleton State University in Stephenville, Texas, Richter moved to Southwest Texas and began playing with a Blues & R&B band that released two live CD's, mostly cover songs. In March of 2007 Richter released "Songs of Women, Guns, & Booze," a collection of 12 original songs written and recorded in his home studio. The songs were also featured on soundtrack of the independent movie "Road to El Paso" (www.thetexasranch.net). Besides himself (vocals, guitars, sequencing), the additional musicians who contributed were Mark Ramsey (keyboards), Uel Jackson (bass, harmonica), Pete Denney (harmonica, guitar), Philip Stevens (guitar), and Bobby Luna (guitar). The album was mastered by Jerry Tubb at Terra Nova Digital Audio in Austin, Texas. Richter's main influences are the classic rock songwriters like Pink Floyd, Neil Young, Bob Marley, Rolling Stones, Tom Petty, and Bob Dylan.
