Album Notes

RDO's music stems from a long list of inspirations and influences, including Pearl Jam, Tool, Tori Amos, Radiohead, Mos Def, Thelonius Monk, Ani DiFranco, Tom Waits, Modest Mouse, and most great classic rock and R&B artists. His new album, "Mordred the Quarter Known", contains elements of rock, funk, folk, pop, and jazz, and is likeable right away. From the opening guitar riff of "If You Want Love" to the symphonic ending of "Butterfly", this album is a definite for fans of Dave Matthews, Pearl Jam, Jason Mraz, John Mayer, The Fray, Cat Stevens, Soundgarden, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and Coldplay. If you've ever liked anything by any of these artists, you will surely like Ryan David Orr.

As Grammy winning frontman for Blues Traveler, John Popper, said: "Tender, powerful songwriting...Ryan will take you right into the moment with him and connect his heart to yours."

"Ryan David Orr has a warm, beautiful voice with which he intimates feelings of sorrow or joy...similar to that of Chris Martin (Coldplay), Damien Rice, or Ryan Adams" -Rootstime, Holland

After seeing RDO in Show Low a few months ago, I couldn't get "Carry Me Home" out of my head (in a good way!). Bought Mordred the Quarter Known (love it!) and am really looking forward to buying more music from RDO.
