Album Notes

After a few years of marginal success as a solo musician, Ryan Jenson took a short break from music and moved to the Philippine Islands where he started a Panda conservatory. A few years later, he moved to Venenzuela where he became hooked on Venenzuelen chili that he would later write in his memoirs, \"it blew my mind\". He returned to the music scene and played in a few failed bands after that - Mushy Paw, 115th Dream, and The Revolution to name a few. After a failed romance with Halle Berry, Ryan Jenson decided a change was needed. Feeling lost in his time, Ryan Jenson hired a team of German scientists to cryogenically freeze him. He has spent the past decades in a frozen state at the Deutsches Historisches Museum. He was recently thawed and is playing music again. He recently completed a tour on the west coast where he played at several different notable upscale celebrity rehabilitation facilities to the likes of Paris Hilton and Lindsey Lohan. Nowadays, Ryan Jenson can be seen playing with his band, \"The Supercriticals\". The band consists of Adam Sadowsky on drums/percussion. Sadowsky is most famous for his space travels. In his most recent intergalactic endeavor, Sadowsky crushed the hopes and ambitions of Lance Bass when he took his spot on the Russian shuttle Soyuz according to a top official at the Russian Aviation and Space Agency (Rosaviakosmos). Joining Sadowsky on percussion is Jeff Mejia. Best known for his short -lived role as the 6th member of the Latino boyband \"Menudo\", Mejia has made a seemless transition to the band. Joining Jenson on bass guitar is Jason Serra. Fresh off his win for Best Actor at Austria’s Adult Film Awards, Serra is a welcome addition to the band often driving females wild with his signature adult film inspired “beefy bass beats”. Accompanying Jenson on piano and keyboards is Jason Sempsrott. After a long hiatus in the Tennessee Mountains, Sempsrott has made his much welcomed return to the band. Many critics agree that he is playing better than ever considering that he survived multiple Black Bear attacks. Rounding out \"Ryan Jenson and the Supercriticals\" is child actor turned lead guitarist Adam Fowler. Jenson can be seen playing open mics and small gigs with or without the band in and around the Upstate New York area. Check him out soon; for its hard to say where he\'ll be next.

I have heard Ryan playing solo in venues around our region, and this CD is an excellent representation of his sound. Kudos not only to Ryan, but to the producer for having just the right mix of backing to allow Ryan's style and songwriting to shine through. Class act throughout. Fun CD, great grooves to enjoy!

Hey folks, I am a long time fan of Ryan's work, first time reviewer. This album marks the first full band recordings and I am impressed with the depth and clarity of the instrumentality. For a first release, it proves to be a rockin', swingin', fun for all free ride. The unique character of this album cannot be traced to any particular genre or style, nor should it be classified as this or that. My recommendation is to buy the album, you will enjoy it.
