Prayers and Promises

I have been meaning to comment on Prayers and Promises by Ryan Sheeler for some time. Earlier this evening as I was driving home from work in the rain, listening to this CD in my car, once again it was just what I needed to hear and I felt compelled to share some of my thoughts.
I purchased this CD about five months ago and have listened to it countless times. It is very well done and the various styles with which Ryan writes keep each listening experience fresh and interesting. In addition to the excellent musicality in his compositions and arrangements, Ryan writes with a sincere and genuine heart which can clearly be heard through his music.
I actually had the opportunity, for the first time, to work with Ryan a few times this winter. I came to realize that he is not only a gifted composer and a skillful, versatile musician, but he is a compassionate and trustworthy person as well. It is rare to find all those qualities in one musician. I hope Ryan continues to share what God has put inside of him, for a long time to come.
