Rychyrd grew up in the San Fernando Valley, just north of Los Angeles. He started to sing before he was 2 years old, wrote songs to give himself the courage to walk home from school alone at 6, started to play music seriously at 13 with brothers Alan and Neal Morse, who would later be known from 'progressive rock' groups such as Spock's Beard and Transatlantic. After school, the 3 brothers used to jam for hours, trading off between guitar, bass, drums and/or piano, improvising free-form rock instrumentals or copying our favorite records. While the other 2 brothers were fascinated with instrumental pyrotechnics, Rychyrd was/is fascinated with the 3 minute pop song - Beatles, Motown, Beach Boys, Bonzo Dog Band, Nervous Norvus, the great ones. Charming melodies, words that rhyme and tell stories. In the 1990s Rychyrd moved to Germany to fulfill 2 dreams, to travel and play music for a living, since most of the musicians in L. A. were (and are) playing for little or no payment. He has performed literally thousands of shows for audiences from small clubs to the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, on Television and Radio, even putting in time as a street musician in London, Heidelberg and Amsterdam. There was, however, still something missing. As he puts it, "At least once, I wanted to record a CD that is so good that even I would buy it, which, if you know me, is a tall order." We're pleased to announce he succeeded - spared no expense or effort to get the finest musicians and recording engineers (his brother Neal Morse co-produced, played keyboards and electric guitars), the whole 9 yards. Spent his life savings, with no regrets. And you can share this thoroughly entertaining, beautiful, moving music for a mere fraction of what he paid. Please stop reading this and listen, we'll both be glad you did.

Fun inspirational mix reminding us of the bigger world

Overall, a great 70s feel yet with a breadth of styles within that to keep you engaged - a freshness amongst all the current chart stuff. Been playing it daily since I have got it, and its hard to say which ones are best: "Invocation" probably wins out - with its great guitars and catchy lines. Also has great depth. And the fun "Skull beneath the skin" just keeps on growing on me! And every time I listen, I pick up different nuances in the others: the opening to "What you gonna do" now reminds me of the Starsky & Hutch TV series. Wierd eh! I just keep smiling!
