Album Notes

Sabrina Stone was a promising young person, studying Business & English: her parents were proud. Now when people ask her what she wants to do with her immediate future she says, feigning reluctance, "I guess I'm meant to be a musician." Oh, fate.

She began playing classical piano at age 7, singing badly until around puberty, picked up a guitar for popularity purposes in middle school, and then started to write. Her hopes of accomplishing anything in the practical world were dashed quickly thereafter.

On this album, she's encouraged even further down the narcissistic path of musical enlightenment by 3 remarkable young musicians:

Dylan Kelehan: a menace on the bass, who is a devout follower of the church of Classic Rock

Chris St. Hilaire: a sick, sick drummer, capable of world domination on any of his many other instruments as well

& Phil Selesnick: a man not afraid to dance, even while pouring out mind-bogglingly melodic piano solos.

Please, check us out, be our friends, lavish us in complements, bring us ritualistic sacrifices, or just enjoy the music!

With Affection,

Sabrina Stone & The Ers

I have known Sabrina for many years and I have encouraged her to use her wonderful talent to entertain us all. I titled this loving because my favorite picture of her is Sabrina holding my puppy and loving him. Her musical talent is undeniable, she is a talented musician and a gifted singer.

Intoxicating

As I was out on the north-east coast tour '07, I had a chance encounter with a woman who absolutely made my heart melt with just the sound of her voice. The sweet, jazzy, passionate sounds that flow their way through your speakers will strike a familiar chord in your mind. The lyrics have overtones of strong will and self examination that speak to you in the simplest way and shows insight into the complicated mind of the brilliant artist herself. When listening to her music, it is blatantly obvious that she gives everything she has deep in her soul. And as if it wasn't enough, as she pours her energy through the mic, she provides elegant chords through her acoustic guitar as well. And the band accompanying her is equally as talented. With drum beats that have a certain complexity, yet remain simple enough as to not distract attention from the rest of the band. Gentle bass that smooths your way into the next riff. And a piano magician who hits all the right notes. On top of it all, I can't tell you enough just how nice it is to hear a demo that actually sounds as if they paid a decent sound engineer to get the levels right! I bought the EP and went cruising along the coast of Maine, and it absolutely complimented the trip. Check it out, buy the music, spread the word! You won't be disappointed.
